NARRATIVE
On September 9, 2025, at approximately 22:00 hours, while on patrol from North Patrol and intending to stop by Legion Square, I observed a vehicle behind me driving onto the sidewalk in front of my unit. I immediately attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver failed to yield. The vehicle eventually came to a stop on Adam’s Apple Boulevard, where the driver admitted that he had been daydreaming. I requested his documents and, upon checking, found that the vehicle license had been expired since August 25, 2024. I instructed the driver to step out of the vehicle, and a further search was conducted. During the search, Deputy Rojas discovered a handgun inside the vehicle. Based on the evidence and violations, the driver was taken into custody and transported to Davis Sheriff's Station's Jail for processing. |
