NARRATIVE On August 16, 2025 at Approxematelly 0900 hours at Hawick Alta Street, Both suspects had committed a robbery at a store and were visually identified by Sergeant Jairo Ruiz. I joined the pursuit of the suspects shortly after. During the chase, both individuals engaged in violent resistance by stopping their vehicle and opening fire at responding deputies. As a result of the gunfire exchange, one deputy went down with serious injuries. Fire Department personnel promptly arrived on scene to provide emergency medical treatment. In the meantime, I initiated immediate actions to secure and rescue the downed deputy, ensuring he received critical assistance without delay. |
