Los Santos, SA – August 1, 2025, at approximately 9:44 PM, the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department (LSSD) responded to a mutual aid request from the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) regarding a violent incident at Legion Square involving multiple armed suspects.

Upon arrival, law enforcement encountered active gunfire from fleeing suspects, prompting the immediate deployment of all available units to secure the area and pursue those attempting to escape. The suspects were tracked moving toward Textile City near Sinner Street, where a number of them entered a movie theater, prompting further tactical response.

In coordination, LSSD Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) and LSPD Special Weapon And Tactical (SWAT) were activated and executed a tactical breach of the theater. Upon entry, suspects opened fire on the tactical teams, but officers responded swiftly and effectively, neutralizing the threat without further risk to public safety.

Following the incident, the scene was declared secured, and all downed suspects were gathered at a designated command post. The Los Santos Fire Department (LSFD) was requested for medical assistance, treating both suspects and multiple injured deputies and officers.

Due to the scale and complexity of the event, the total number of suspects remains under review, with LSPD assuming primary jurisdiction for processing and ongoing investigation. The LSSD has fully cooperated in transferring custody of apprehended individuals.

This operation highlights the strong inter-agency collaboration between LSPD and LSSD in confronting organized and dangerous criminal activity that threatened public safety in a densely populated area. Both departments are committed to ensuring that those responsible are held accountable in a court of law, with evidence and documentation gathered during the joint response.

LSSD remains dedicated to the protection of all residents of Los Santos County and will continue to work alongside our partner agencies to ensure peace and security across the region.
